India 2025 – A Journey of Colour, Culture, and Connection
Travelling through India in 2025 was an unforgettable adventure shared with my sister and a close friend, both experiencing the country for the first time. Together we explored the vibrant streets of New Delhi, the spiritual atmosphere of Varanasi, and the remarkable Rajasthan Camel Festival, where colour, music, animals, and celebration filled every corner.

The greatest inspiration for me was India's extraordinary textile traditions. Everywhere I looked there were beautifully patterned fabrics, intricate embroidery, hand-block prints, woven textiles, and richly coloured garments that transformed everyday streets into living works of art. I was fascinated not only by the textiles themselves, but by the people who made them, the stories woven into their motifs, and the pride with which they were worn. Each fabric reflected generations of craftsmanship, culture, and identity.
Travelling through India is an immersion of the senses. The warmth of the people, the bustling streets, the architecture, markets, temples, food, and daily rituals all contributed to an experience that was both inspiring and deeply enriching. Every day presented new encounters and unexpected moments that sparked curiosity and a renewed sense of wonder.
Sharing this journey made it even more special. Seeing India through fresh eyes reminded me of the excitement of discovery and the joy of embracing the unfamiliar. We laughed often, learned constantly, and returned home with countless photographs, treasured memories, and a deeper appreciation for the richness of Indian culture.

For me, travel is more than visiting new places—it is an opportunity to connect with people, experience different ways of living, and gather stories that continue to shape my creative practice. India remains a constant source of inspiration, and this journey reaffirmed my love of colour, textiles, photography, and the enduring beauty of cultural exchange.
